OK, I will admit that I have a disgusting amount of clothing. I don't even know how one accrues this much, except I did change sizes a couple times so I have different sized stuff. But weeding through this mess has been a huge job and I'd say I'm maybe 40% of the way there only (and that's if I'm being generous). I took 4 big boxes over to Goodwill today. There is SO much more to donate. I also started selling my designer things (some with tags) on eBay. Money money money!!
I'm often criticized for having too much clothes and shoes, but believe it or not I'm not hitting up the mall every week. And I don't have a husband that buys me shoes and goodies because I whiiiiiiiine that I neeeeeeed them so I can stave off depression for a day or two. (Although I would not object to having one.) Sugar daddies, please apply here!
Anyway, I have to go back to my clothes clearance and laundry!
Stuff like this always makes me think about Billy Joel's lyric "don't you know about the new fashion, honey? All you need are looks and a whole lotta money." What I'm saying is, whatever your situation, who is to judge? Too many clothes, too few--its still rock n roll to me :P
ReplyDeleteI miss my old smaller jeans which I REFUSE to get rid of. I got rid of some, but I refuse to get rid of my Hudsons, Diesels, William Rast, Citizens... I have a lot of super cute jeans and they are MINE!
